ford galaxy

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Sounds like an excuse for a trip to the scrappy to get yourself some leccy windows!

It has been a while since I have seen a multipla. I thought they had all rusted away long ago.

after spending a fortune on tyres last month 1 for mr2, 2 for galaxy & 2 for the transit i noticed the pressures were low 32 psi in the galaxy, i checked the door pillar guide 45 psi for the front, this seems a bit high does anyone have an idea what they should be?? i checked online but that confused me even more

:o 33 front 31 rear according to the current (2001-2011) edition of Autodata. 34 in the rears if fully loaded with snide booze, tabs and watches.

With 40 odd in there it'll wear the tops of the tread quicker than you can save for a new set and it'll understeer like mad.

That sounds pretty low. My focus TDCI is 35 all round (petrol is 32)

I checked a Galaxy forum and they had a similar post - the label says something different to the handbook etc. The consensus seems that 33-31 is right.

It's interesting that the Focus is 35 all round - my Golf is 2.5 Bar (I haven't bothered to work back to PSI as my gauge is clearer on the "bar" scale). I wonder if these modern cars are much heavier than an older Galaxy - or is it that the wheels are larger (the Golf has 16" alloys, the last Golf had 15" steels and lower tyre pressures)?

I won't mention the tractors' tyre pressures - it blows the wheel size theory straight out of the window!
