MK7 Golf isn't fully 13 feet long, but big on the inside,
nearly as roomy as an Austin Maxi which is the closest thing to it in most dimensions. It
looks big in the piccies of the yellow Minor and the GSA elsewhere on the forum where it's lurking, but stand it by a MK3 or a Corsa and suddenly it ain't so huge. It's not orange, was only born in June and its engine sits east to west, so has no place in this thread. Cracking good wireless set came with though.

I spotted this 1964 Hillman Super Minx in the car park where the local Iceland/Pets At Home/Halfords/Home Bargains/Aldi are.

I saw a Honda CX500 this afternoon. I remember these inline watercooled V twins from the late 1970s/early '80s.

I saw 2 cx500's sell for £30 at a farm auction not long ago . Despatch riders loved them, did intergalactic mileages before they broke

Mine suffered from that particular type of terminal meltdown, in 1987 on the day before I'd planned to take the engine into the kitchen and fit the kit that included an improved type of chain guides which were intended to prevent their doing that. That incident was the main reason I've not been on many bikes since, I managed to keep it upright as it slithered to a halt though. Hmm, I never did get my refund on the new parts that I was denied the opportunity of using.

Ah i didnt know .. i assumed.. because there used to be loads used as despatch bikes ,all looked pretty old , covered in crudand unmaintained, , seemingly going on for ever !
I wasn't allowed a motorbike, but i secretly bought a Sherpa T325..crashed it , (again), and it kinda put me off wanting to ride motorbikes.. As it happens.. I have a well known cousin (but i've only met him a couple of times) a former BSB, WSB, and Moto GP rider , who was pretty good at it , unlike me .
