 That scrapped one is likely to need an A post, door(s?), inner wing including the trumpet, outer wing, and there's more than likely damage to the o/s (or n/s if you have French tendencies  ) subframe mounts and front floor. But hey, it's a nice colour so who cares about a spot of terminal crash damage. Alas, poor car.

Looks like an early Reliant Scimitar but it must be a personalised plate as the W suffix is 80/81 and that style of bodywork was 64/70 ?

had a look at the car tonight, its in bits, the sills trumpets are in good condition although the front floorpans & several places need repairing the inner sills have rotted along the top while the outers are original and in as new condition.. the boot, front wings are rotten while the inners are good ish.. front panel needs replacing as the previous owner managed to hit it with a tractor..will also need new brake pipes etc.. now to get prices for parts, but as im skint & short of time ill probably give it a miss.

meanwhile ive been waiting for a client to get back to me for a plasterboarding job, i spent ages explaining what i would do etc & delivered the boards to his door as the supplier would leave it half a mile away.. he's doing the job himself & has asked if i will lend him my tools

That's a Se5A, so current from 1972-1975, which ties in with the M suffix ;) , 01/08/1973-31/07/1974. That style of bodywork did also cover the 5, but that didn't appear before 1968. I would link to the club forum but that would be pointless as you have to be a member to see anything even vaguely interesting, which some of it is.

And in answer to the question of the interesting white vehicle, that's a VW T2 or T3 T25, or some equally confusing sequence of letters and numbers..

Thanks John - I should have let you reply in the first place but I was in such a rush as I thought I knew the answer - and now I look again then it is M and not W and it's the GTE style body and not the earlier SE4 - should have gone to Specsavers (or used the bigger PC monitor rather than the smaller laptop) . . .
