A word of caution, Speedy Cables can't always turn the stuff around in five minutes, so don't be surprised if it takes a while. I don't think it is specific to them; years before there was another firm offering the same kind of service (I think they have now retired) and it was never quick with them.

The Dolomite is over reading by about 3 mph at 70 on GPS, not too shabby.

on the old symbian nokia app 'Race Chrono' works with the phones onboard gps for the speed if not using google maps.
Just thought I would let people know in case you happened to have an old symbian phone and needed a free app.

I have an older, but still in use and fully working (it makes a most useful IR remote control for my many devices) Symbian PDA, no GPS (Sony-Ericsson P800) but I wouldn't mind a source of new stuff that'll run on it, especially updates for the MIB game. :D
Is the old symbian freeware site still running? I couldn't find it.

For car and speed-related things, I find that the GPS speedometer readings in Torque for Android agree pretty much to the last decimal place with the readings taken by the onboard radar on the modern but are less responsive than it, which could some day be the difference between a £60 fine/3 points and a clear run home.
