No: too old - I'd forgotten that sketch!JPB wrote:Are people really too young for Python these days?
OTOH, although I was a Python (and Faulty Towers) fan when the shows were running, I thought Python was over-rated and not particularly funny when I watched the repeats - a bit like Morecambe and Wise (and The Young Ones) - the shock tactics had been lost! There again, after the first Cleese "manic rant" in a show, he starts to become repetitive and boring! Give me the intelligent satire of The Goodies any time

Ah "Kitten Kong" the lost episode of the goodies, total slap stick! I do like a bit of the good life.

Yes! I enjoyed the Good Life too. The acting and stories were lame but there was a yellow Volvo 145DL in the show.

And the exact same car, not a similar one but the same car, appeared in 1975, in the original series of Survivors! Well I was interested to learn that.

Ah Survivors - that was a great series. I was disappointed with the remake though - it wasn't at all in the spirit of the original series and was more a story about losing a child and finding them again!
Thinking of remakes that shouldn't have happened - Reggie Perrin! PErhaps the remake should have been called "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin's Grandson"!

Funniest comedy series has to be 'Early Doors'. Brilliant.
I wonder what happened to the Hillman Avenger, Rover and Cortina in the one with Hyacinth Bucket. The name escapes me. It is only just after 9-00am!

I rest my case
Landrovers and Welding go together like Bread and Butter. And in the wet they are about as structurally sound
Biting. It's like kissing except there's a winner
