I'd probably do exactly the same if I were in one of the places that has an FX4 & Fairway sanctuary. There are a few working in Edinburgh but it's getting surprisingly hard to find one along there, this in spite of the large quantity of
Yank grockles American tourists that like a good taxi ride and prefer these to the Metros and those blobby ones that handle like a leaking dinghy.
it was hard to convince the wife that we really needed to pay £5 per journey as opposed to a tram day ticket of £9 (family ticket). she secretly loved it tho

It's quite difficult to have a taxi-related discussion without good old Bez' name coming up at some point!
I never imagined that I'd find myself writing this, but I preferred the cab that Leepu chopped for use as a wedding carriage to the one that was pimped for Bez. There, it's out there now, I expect to be mocked and made to feel a tit for saying it.

For my sins I had to drive one, a diesel too! And yes, it did have a 2 way and a meter fitted
God those night shifts were hard when you drove a car that was so boring it'd send you to sleep just by being sat in it, let alone driving it

nissan bluetit, one of my dream cars.....
one of our local taxi firms has a 92 sunny diesel 400,000 km & counting & the firm i worked for had the primera diesel, also with starship milage, sadly i never had the pleasure of driving it..some people my know i have weakness for nissan/datsun..

Is there anything that pimp my west coast did anybody would actually want to own? There was a thread on the MMOC forum about the minor they did and how shockingly bad it was done (the car had been owned by a member, sold to someone specifically to have this "work" done and using another member as a specialist to advise them on how to do different jobs.

Yes it is a classic and yes I want one.
The Nissan Bluebird is something I would like as well especially in "Executive" trim with the rear air vents that appear to have no real purpose, unless the rear lights get REALLY hot lol.
