Until recently I was responsible for several hundred ipads and iphones, they are fairly child friendly as in you can muck about with them and they won't break but the restrictions of what you can store on them turn them from usable tool in to toy. Physically ipads are quite fragile, I hate to think how many screens I had to have replaced. Definitely for the home market with business coming a DISTANT second.
I am a definite fan of Android and how adaptable it is.
Anyway, back to the digital PC edition:
They won't put a download code in as people would look at it in the shop and download the copy instead of buying it, they won't allow you to download a PDF as they need it to have a degree of copy protection which is (sadly) lacking from PDF and ODF files. Even adobe's "secure" system can be broken in less time than it takes to open a packet of crisps.
It's a shame as there are some things I would like the digital version of so I can print them for use in the garage without getting the mag mucky / having to crease it on the photocopier.
