Totally agree Richard. My father sold his boat a few weeks ago, starting at 0.99 with a £600 reserve. It sold for £730 so imagine my shock to get a sellers bill of £95! On top of that, for the second time in to months, the winning bidder turned up and said "well its not minty and as new, even though I paid a tenth of what a mint one is worth so because it isn't brand new like I expected in my mind, its not as described" and walked away. The eBay 'Commit to buy' is a joke, anyone can bid on there and completely waste the sellers time with zero repercussions.Richard Moss wrote:Ebay has become such an unpleasant place on which to try to sell stuff that I no longer do.
I have over the weekend deleted my direct debit details and will use the site for buying only from now on.
