Unusually for top gear, the boat didn't sink.
Some curly haired old bloke drove a hire car across new Zealand, crashed it a couple of times, erm........... I can't remember anything else about it.

Perhaps if they didn't do these challenges of racing cars against boats and aircraft etc the Beeb could afford 12 programmes instead of 6 in a series! 5th Gear is more interesting. I think I'll wait until the new series of Car SOS comes on. It does have a story and some good technical bits. On that there is one guy who knows what he is doing a 'comedian' who is his co presenter and occasionally some sad old prat with an accent nobody outside the Black Country can understand who wanders around looking as though care in the community has let him down. Series 2 is being filmed now.

After seeing the hot hatch test, I can't help wondering whether Clarkson is on the Ford payroll!

He has always liked a fast ford. It must help him when it comes to getting a discount though.

I love that 'self portrait' and I'm pleased that you are already filming series 2 - do you get to be on camera more this time - we know Fuzz is the 'expert', Tim's the 'comedian' but there must be an increased role for Phil the old guy who does the real work when the cameras are switched off
Can you give any clues about what we can expect next time around

I can't say what is happening because I don't know! I'm not working on the cars as much as I did in the last series other than that I haven't got a clue what is happening....honest!
