Sorry, i misread your post as "this entire board isn't the place to have a rant about the twunt who delivered my new garden" rather than "garden hut"

I have applied both, but haven't put the ceramic to test as I have yet to rebuild the engine, having painted it on the turbo exhaust side plus manifold. The wrap I have used and it does reduce the heat. The surface needs to be treated for the ceramic paint to stick

This ceramic paint sounds like it could be the ideal thing for something I have in mind.
What type of treatment is advised please? Would a dip in vinegar do the trick or does it need something more sophisticated by way of preparation?

I don't really know as I haven't furthered it. I know that it faded off, which I surmise was due to not cleaning the surface,i.e surface rust.

Hmm, so an ideal candidate for an overnight bath in vinegar then.

Or shot blasting perhaps?

Gives a good surface key in my experience... ;)

Well, the question is now irrelevant as Double S will void exhaust warranties if heat wrap is used. Nuts.
Looks like i have a choice between a cool(er) engine bay or a lifetime warranty.
Why are businesses so awkward?
