Euro crisis: UK plans to stop migration from greece & spain

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Just for clarity the word "nationalist" does not appear in the Scottish National Party
Just an observation (And nothing else) but the BNP don't include the letters "IST" in their name either.

I think Wales is formerly a principality rather than a sovereign nation and so would have a very weak claim for independence anyway.

I think you mean the West Lothian Question which asks why MPs in Scotland can vote on English matters in the context of the UK but MPs in England cannot vote on Scottish only matters ;)

Ah yes the old "you'll stay in the UK if you know what's good for you" argument. Keep at it and you'll encourage more people to vote "Yes" just to spite you
I don't think anyone spelled them with the "ist", that tends to be the noun or adjective that is commonly used to describe parties and people who support independence... Funnilly enough one of the groups that made up the SNP did use "Nationalist" in their title, though!

I can't see Wales's claim being any less than Scotland's, although ruled by the English for many centuries it did have its own crown at one point and has clear boundaries as a separate country so being no different to Scotland...

Quite right, I did forget the word "West", though my point remains valid, if the Scots want more autonomy then they should have far less (no?!) say in English only matters... And i'd say that that issue should be sorted regardless of Independence vote, we had too much forced upon us by majority the Scottish NL MPs gave Blair where their own Country's parliament, run by Labour at the time, was doing the exact opposite!

Re the last point I suspect that most Scots will decide themselves without any influence from the rest of us, they always have been a canny bunch!
