I got snowed in yesterday morning. OK outside the house, but get to any sort of height and there was 4 inches of the stuff. So I went back to bed......

I left for work at 5:45 this morning; I just went for a break and it's noticably colder now than when I arrived! I'm feeling quite glad that I've procrastinated enough to still have my winter tyres fitted...

it got a bit chilly here yesterday, i had to put my jumper on!

This morning I saw a couple of cars that had iced up; mine was fine if a little dirty, so I washed the screen - BIG MISTAKE! Cue 5 minutes of scraping off the frozen mush I'd just created...

There is a bit of snow on the tops of the mountains and there was a hint of it in my garden on Wednesday morning. No problems getting about and all the roads are clear.

Anyway, whats these hosepipe bans thingies you here about doon sooth?

Same up this way: No snow at all other than on the tops, which was exactly as predicted by the forecasters. Hardly surprising that they'd get it right when we usually have snow up there until around the end of April, even when it's 70 degrees and more with blazing sunshine down here by the coast. Or 50 degrees and so foggy that you can't see this in front of your face.

Apparently - and please don't quote me on this as I may have been misinformed - the good burghers of South Englandshire use something called a "bath" (nope, I'd never heard of that either) as part of their personal hygiene routine. This "bath" is filled up with water, loads of the stuff but their drains are so rubbish that the waste water escapes to Albania in an A35 van before their water company are able to round it up and deliver it to the sewage works for valeting.
These rubbish drains, in combination with the decadent and arguably somewhat selfish overuse of clean water is why they're now facing huge penalties for using their hosepipes. Good. Serves the buggers right.

Bloody hell, I just had to look it up on that tinterweb thing, and you are right, apparently they also have a "Water Closet" that flushes their bodily waste away. No covering it up with a bit of dry earth or nothing, and no waiting for the man from the Water Board to collect the pan on a Friday evening.

What really got me though, was that these funny things are inside, imagine, how unhygenic is that, I think I'll stick to the fish pond for cleaning meself up thank you

No wonder theres a shortage of water.......perhaps we can sell them some
