You've gone a bit OTT with the lighting on the front of your quattro, are there no streetlights out your way?

I have just purchased a Hella pair on ebay for £6.10 (10.51 including postage)! can't really go wrong at that price. It's almost like buying some new bulbs and getting the lamps for free!

Well, my bargain lights have arrived. For what i paid i'm not complaining, they are probably worth £40 espicially as they come with some cable, a relay, all sort of electrical plugs and mounting bolts. They are definitely not as good as the single wipac i found in the garage though. They will definitely do until a pair of bargain wipac ones come up.

I did a project on light efficiency when clean/dirty in college. I wrote off to a few of the distributors here in Ireland. Hella sent me back a booklet on the design and origin of lights and new developments, which at the time were the Lens type lights that have sort of been replaced now by plastic headlight lens and focused reflectors. It was a great bit of information and it's part of my arsenal of technical information I never seem to have to use.

Hella have a very good reputation down here forf their fog and driving lights. I've used them many times with no issues.

These are the lens type rather than focused reflectors, they are OK but the plastic feels cheaper than the wipac one i have or the old ring ones.
For what they cost i'm certainly very happy. If it is a bit less windy at the weekend i'll get them fitted and see what the beam pattern is like.
