Mal,

I've got a parts catalogue on CD-ROM. I can send you a copy if you PM me your address. I'd like to make it up to Wetherby. I was last up that way on Saturday.

It can't be such a bad thing if the TSSC are warming to the Acclaim. The West Yorkshire area don't seem to mind when I turn up to their meetings in mine.

I hope Neil sees this and can get it in the mag at some point. I've already PMd and e-mailed him.

No shame in that, they're an alright car. Buy yours now, before they all vanish for good. :)

 Is it really 27 years since we were welding plates to them in order to scrape them through their first ever MOT? Where did these last few decades go? :(

I've had two, and they were both great. They are as much of a Honda as any post BL or pre BMW designed Rover, so i can't see a problem. Just wish they'd gone the whole hog and rebadged the early Prelude's as Triumph's too, in fact, i wish that Honda had become partners instead of the BMW flog off, but that's a different story... Will try to get something in the mag, but we'll need dates, times contact details etc. Let me know the specifics and i'll see what i can do.

Neil, thanks for the reply.

It will be on Sunday 9th October being the nearest Sunday to the actual anniversary. We'll be gathering outside the Cowley works just after midday and then we'll be going over to Gaydon. Unfortunately I can't take credit for this. It started on the Club Triumph forum and a link to the thread is below.

As soon as I know more I'll post the details.

We're getting there...

Just a few details to finalise. Will it make the next mag? Also, can somebody from the mag cover the event? Sam and Danny did it for the Marina's 40th. Why not the Acclaim's 30th?

This is the plan.

On Sunday 9th October we will meet at "The Bullnose Morris" pub (Watlington Road, Blackbird Leys, Cowley, Oxford, OX4 6SS) at 12.00pm. We'll then enter the Cowley works at Gate 7 (Horspath Road) and gather in the car park for some photos. (with the co-operation of BMW) Next will be a drive in convoy up to the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon via Kidlington and Banbury with a stop or two along the way. It is hoped that they will dig out the last Acclaim off the production line.

Neil, can you feature this in the next edition of the mag? Better still, can you attend this event and run an article? I know you're itching to get back in an Acclaim. This is a once only opportunity...

I've only got one Acclaim on the road, another is a spares car and the other won't be seeing the MoT man anytime soon...
