breakdown truck

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

And this would suit me but it's well overvalued  so it will be staying where it is - (GHT don't bother we all know what you think)

Temptation strikes again! Thank goodness that the Ambassador is a manual, I'd be unable to resist an automatic one of those in that solid a condition.

That special bodied pavement scooter is just over an hour away and it would fit in the bB, so could be transported home. I'd love to take that into the supermarket instead of borrowing one of their big green scooters but again, I must resist so please, Rich, can you not find things that aren't so damned desirable occasionally?
;)

Edited: Actually, scrub the scooter idea, I just noticed that the seller says it's a tight fit for a small adult and although my "adult" status is questionable, small I ain't!

Rich - Very much agreed - it's a good job I have no space at present for it otherwise I would be en-route to collect it - always fancied one to pair up with the P6

A60 Countryman auto please! The white saloon with red side flash appears fairly good, but are they really worth this sort of loot? The Countryman though, is cheaper in spite of its solid bodywork and rarity. They're blessed with a rear load compartment long enough to take a mattress and Trafalgar blue with OEW roof is classy, IMHO.
Is it my eyesight, or does the small foreign thing have trolley steering rather than the Ackerman setup every other motorised four wheeler has? I'm intrigued by a "car" that never needs to have its tracking adjusted.
And as for the Vastmonster; I like the brutal honesty of the description, but the wire wheel trim things are horrid other than when fitted to a '70s Datsun, when they become sexy and desirable.
:? ;)

SD1s appeal, but the 2.4 Diesel would be my choice. Did they come with an automatic option? If not, then I suppose I could tolerate the petrol version in Vitesse spec. It would be hard, but I'd force myself to like it even if I can't see an SD1 without thinking about 1980s film "Rita, Sue and Bob too", which demonstrated the car's versatility..

I know JPB has a liking of the rare Renaults - unsure if he would like this one but it's very rare
