Now that's an absolute gem! Correct saloon sills - rare these days, interior like someone's lounge, decent colour combo, better than the last few of these I've seen on C&C by a country mile, yet priced very fairly. I hadn't realised that an auto version of the Magnette 4 was offered, but with its BW35 transmission, comfy leather chairs and that bonny face, OK, I'm calling them tomorrow..

My second car was similar to that MG. It was the MK3 1959 model. Unlike the one in your link, it wasn't automatic. Some think that because I was 18 at the time, i would have been car mad. Ha! If only. My car had a full bench seat at the front, the handbrake was on a ratchet, pulled from the dash and the gears were on a column change. All of that negated the need to climb in the back seat. I'm still paying the price for my lustful desire.
It's worth noting though, that at the price quoted, that MG is way over top dollar. You pay your money, you take your choice.
Rich, did you know that the Noddy Car is to be auctioned at Silverstone at the end of July. it's got a reserve of twenty five grand.

My father owned the auto version, very comfy as you say, but very sluggish and thirsty compared to my manual Morris Oxford. I wish I'd kept it when he died though.

Yes, it is strong money but it's a turnkey car that will hold its own in value terms with the appropriate regular maintenance and ongoing dosing with Ensis V (or one of those inferior rust-preventative products from a can of similar colour..).
In the long term, that car represents good value, IMHO, because it would cost much more to buy a slightly less tidy specimen and bring it up to that standard, especially when it comes to the seats and that beautifully aged, but not by any means worn out, wooden trim.
Anyway, I've never bought a vehicle without a little spot of haggling and I'm not in a position to travel anywhere this week so I'll not be taking it further as the price, although OK, is too much to risk on some (admittedly very clear) images without checking the car in the flesh too. Someone will, I suspect, be very pleased with that though.
