Since buying my RR, the plastic covers that go on the front of the seat plinths have been missing. The only ones I have been able to find are the wrong colour. After a chance Google about, I have found a company in Texas which has lots of stock of LR parts (and other bits) which seem to be impossible to find over here.
Quick phone call to check stock and order placed. $48 shipping, $8 for each part. Over here a new one (in the wrong colour) is £65 from one of several suppliers or £40 on ebay (also the wrong colour). Every 2nd hand one I have found has the clips broken.
Anyway, link: http://www.britishparts.com/
If you can't find a part over here, it is worth a look on their site / call to see what they have.

Re: British car parts from the states
It gets better, I have an email today saying their postage calculator was wrong and they have sent me a $28 refund!
I bought new spanners on the way home (because they were shiny) and have a credit in my paypal account. Good day all round.

Re: British car parts from the states
I've been working with a mate of mine on a '37 Buick straight 8 Century Sedan. Other than bulbs everything has come from the US. There are dealers in the UK but they only go to the same and stick on a 100% mark up.
I have just bought some parts for my S40 Volvo. Not from the US but Eurocar Parts. Order it online, pay and collect for up to a 50% discount. Over the counter it's full price.
I bought two 644 size batteries for £148-70. Over the counter they were £151 each! I need to replace a N/S rear caliper. £55 order on line and collect or nearly £80 over the counter. No brainer.
