i used to own a 827 vitesse auto... filled it with petrol & split the tank & it always had difficulty with hot starting...it was a great motorway cruiser, but a bit thirsty.... i was looking at the diesels, they seem cheap..

I remember buying some radweld for my Dads Granada 3.0 Ghia many years ago and it said on the bottle, do not use in Rover 827, why would that have been?

Oh dear. 
If that low mileagey one had a Honda V6, a Rover IL4 or that lovely Diesel then I would buy that any time of the day or night. Rover KV6, erm, I get bollockings for telling it like it is about certain of BL/Austin-Rover/Rover's less wonderful engines and frankly don't need the flak. 
Google it, but don't mistake it for the Mazda/Suzuki KV6 which is as tough as old boots.

I quite like the rover kv6. It goes like poop off a shovel in the 75, even quicker in a minor.
