I dare say someone probably posted that with the best of intentions but it is something of a sweeping generalisation. I can't be the only person in the world who's had many successful blind purchases from people in locations as diverse as the USA, Moldova, Uruguay and even Canada. OK, so my one attempt to make a much more expensive purchase from Venezuela went tits up but I blame politics and greed for that. Their politics, my greed.

Maybe it will if the cars are still there in a decade or two but as it is, I think they'd need to be Eastern European two strokes or rare Moskviches to attract the attention of eccentric car journo types. ;)
