My excuse for being grumpy this evening is the ditch in the field next to the house was blocked. I have had to spend several hours up to my knees in mud in torrential rain shovelling to stop it running heavy muddy water over the drive making which had made it impossible to get in / out of the house without getting covered in muck.
That and tomorrow is Monday meaning another pointless 7am "breakfast" meeting, YAY :S

 Thanks for that! Sometimes, I forget how lucky I must be to have a job that I love where I get to decide when, how hard and for how many hours at a time I actually lift a finger to do anything other than post random cobblers in web fora.

I have heard it said that there's a 7 in the morning as well but until now had no supporting evidence. :P If my work ever got sufficient staff together in the same place, all sober and sufficiently alert for such activities then we would probably have staff vs students food fights or something equally demanding to kick our day off in the world of having fun doing, errrr, whatever the hell they pay us for.

On the plus side, they pay for breakfast and I am only there until April. There will be various pastries and strong (cheap) coffee. It doesn't make up for the 5am start. I should really go to bed but I am seeing if I can wake up the village by playing various rock riffs (very badly).

There is one on the farm. The only problem is it is on tracks and would take an hour to drive up from the farm where it's parked. I know I'm English so I should be use to rubbish weather but I am sure it's getting worse.

You will find out when you get to my age - though, TBH, it's usually about half past four when I have to go :(

Perhaps you should get a job in a carwash Terry; apparently it's better than digging a ditch...

A: Yes, it does.

See, told you so!
