My Jensen

Post pictures and stories about your cars both present and past. Also post up "blogs" on your restoration projects - the more pictures the better! Note: blog-type threads often get few replies, but are often read by many members, and provide interest and motivation to other enthusiasts so don't be disappointed if you don't get many replies.

Well progress has been slow.

Have finally fitted new stainless headers & front pipes.

Have had a go at cleaning the underside - mainly engine , box & rear diff.

Lots to do , but it gets cleaner every time.

A few photos taken over the Xmas & New year.

Doors have new skins & bottoms and are ready for refit.

Now the hard work starts with rubbing down and filling.

Interestingly I found that each door was individually numbered at the factory.

My car 4451 now has the drivers door of 4672

I'm guessing you mean Danny Hopkins !

Once the doors are hung & arches fitted I'll be happier !

It's been cheap to run the last 2 years !

There's a project car on ebay just now, an FF as it happens. I looked at that with a view to doing something mad and doubtless expensive but was put off when its registration number - claimed by the seller to belong to the car - was found on running an HPI check to have been assigned to a modern C-Class Benz. :x
Even if that example had been legit, I doubt that I'd have been able to do it justice so I'll get my Jensen fix from this thread instead and save fortunes whilst seeing how they can look in the hands of someone with the time and energy to put in. Keep up the great work please.

Managed to fit both doors and start the process of adjustment.

New pins and pozi drive screws fitted to hinges.

Impressed with the door skins supplied by 'Robeys'

I now have the front end in primer ready for wet/dry prep.

The bonnet & tailgate are also primed

Light at the end of a long tunnel.
