1973 Earls Court motor show

#1 Post by Ian »

Is there anywhere on the web with images from the 1973 Earls Court motor show? We have just bought a 1973 Aston Martin AMV8 to restore and it was one of three cars displayed on the Aston stand in 73. The car is a silver grey colour with blue interior and black carpets. I am desperate to see it when it was new so we can restore it to as close to original as possible. Thanks in advance
:)

That Aston is almost identical to our car. Been watching the 73 motor show review too, have tried to email Aston Martin themselves but no reply, may pop to Gaydon heritage motor centre and see if they have anything in their archives

All the Motoring News report say's about Aston is , due to new emmision regs Aston have thrown away their computerised injection system..and fitted 4 webers instead.. ! Sounds good eh? And at Vauxhall at last target the younger driver with a Droopsnoot Firenza :D

I'd prefer the aston ;)
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

For a wee minute there I got all excited and thought it was going to be a Cord. Minissima will do though, thanks. :D

I once laughed while I was blue in the face at a schoolmate who pronounced Jensen like that and it seems that he may have been right all the time! :o
