LOTUS MK1 CORTINA RESTORATION

Post pictures and stories about your cars both present and past. Also post up "blogs" on your restoration projects - the more pictures the better! Note: blog-type threads often get few replies, but are often read by many members, and provide interest and motivation to other enthusiasts so don't be disappointed if you don't get many replies.

.... is this 'production line speak'?

FWIW I believe someone found a Russian Subway Token, under the carpet of a Soviettski 'resto' they had on...:<)

I will cover it with a load of gaffa tape before it gets blasted.

Thanks to Colin Gin for making me my new purchase. The Best roll over jig ive seen.Simply bolts to the chassis and then
air ratchet on each end to the desired hight. Can be lowered to the ground then slide the ends off and wheel it in to the oven, perfect.
Will now start to remove underseal.

That looks like a damn handy tool, we all need one of those in our garages.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

To be fair it looks not too bad at all.

Hell, I've Driven, taxed and tested Fords in worse condition than that back in the 80's

Should turn out very sweet indeed
Landrovers and Welding go together like Bread and Butter. And in the wet they are about as structurally sound

Biting. It's like kissing except there's a winner

All underseal now removed. Also removed all sound proofing and will replace with new.
Its never had any welding underneath. The only welding I found was a pair of sills.

Looks like you are making good progress, your Mrs must be very understanding.
