Location of 3AW unit on Rover P6B ?

#1 Post by ancient briton »

I have finally got hold of a 3AW unit which controls the alternator warning light. All I need to do is locate where this unit fits.I know the 4TR regulator is located behind the passenger glove box so no problem there.
Any Rover experts that can point me in the right direction please ?

When I looked under the drivers side I saw what I thought was the flasher unit.....In hindsight this could have been the 3AW unit.
I had not seen what one looked like until today but they look very similar.
Thanks Harvey I will take a closer look when time allows.
John.

Flasher unit is under the driver's side as well, but they're the small 7/9FL square units, 3AW is a lot bigger.

This is what you're looking for

t's fitted to the A post inside the driver's glove box. Ignore the box marked SS3AW, that's a solid state replacement.
