Brilliant - thanks for posting back the good news, nice one, always a great feeling when you find a fault like this!

I reckon you'd have found it quicker with one of those in-line spark testers though ;)
Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.

Today I bunked off work early and took it for a drive. It's running better that ever and has even more grunt. The slight hesitation it always had is completely gone.

The guy who called me turned up, looked it over, drove it and bought it.

He must have been keen, he drove eight hours to look at this one car. :)
