Herald/Vitesse Hand Brake knob/button.

#1 Post by jonp »

Hi All. Has anyone found/made/devised a method of making a permanent repair to stop the metal rod coming through the
rubber into your finger?

would a complete lever swap be an option? There must be something that can be modified to fit? Just a thought :)

Moved to "technical queries" section..... ;)
Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.

You could replace the button with a piece of nylon perhaps? Put a thread on the end of the rod and drill a hole part of the way through the nylon (as per Minis etc). I bought some nylon rod online recently - the p&p was more expensive then the nylon!

Thanks for feedback. The nylon threaded would seem a good way.J.P.
