Post pictures and stories about your cars both present and past. Also post up "blogs" on your restoration projects - the more pictures the better! Note: blog-type threads often get few replies, but are often read by many members, and provide interest and motivation to other enthusiasts so don't be disappointed if you don't get many replies.
So, after another clear out, we've refilled the parking space with something that is just slightly older than me (only a few months in it tho!) It was supposed to be delivered tomorrow, but due to an unexpected (oddly for BL stuff....) problem it's only made it 1/4 the way back, to it's new home, anyways, a quick sneak preview of the new toy
More details and pics to follow once she's home.

It's not Tarty blue, apparently it's Island blue, but it's not the original colour, that was valencia apparently (well, that's what's on the Heritage Cert, along with it being an auto, but the gear stick with overdrive switch says differently )
I had been searching for something pre 73, HMRC gets quite enough out of me as it is!
It's been a long enough wait but I'm off to finally collect this tomorrow, after a couple of setbacks using shiply I've decided I'll just go get it myself!
It's a 2500 PI, but been converted back to carbs. I may look into putting it back to PI spec, I may not, will see how things pan out. Hopefully it'll be here by teatime, early start and a 550 mile round trip ideal for a Saturday!
Lovely run, the key is to miss the main choke points,
M4/5 interchange. 7am -9.30 am
M5/M42 interchange 11am -14.00
M42/M1 junction. at all times, come off before for donnington park services then follow signs for M1 north, bypassing the main A42/M1 connection and joining one junction further up.
M62 between Junction 25 and 28 in either direction . Always best to cut through the edge of Hudds to rejoin the M1 at J38.
Do not go M6 North then cut across, you will regret it!.
Tell me about it Mal, used to have an almost daily run from Poole to Wakefield and back, with the added bonus they may give you something to deliver when you got to Wakefield that was vaguely southbound, or throw on Scunny while you were up there, and on a good day they'd give me a truck to do it in too! After suffering it Mon-Fri, Saturday should be a relative doddle! It's near Hipperholme, I'll probably cut across country from M1, skirt Hudd, and go up through Brighouse, should be OK I've hired a Peugeot transporter so no trailer, it's a brand spanker so should have no bother
