[anorak]Strictly speaking, it's only Jack when its attached to a military vessel,[/anorak] so if you've got one on your fishing dinghy, that's still a Union Flag and will also get you laughed at by people in non-home made, expensive craft.

No idea why though  , but someone will doubtless summon up the enthusiasm to look it up soon.

Anal detail has stuck in my mind now.
Have you forgotten that once we were brought here we were robbed of our names, robbed of our language,we lost our religion, our culture, our God? And many of us by the way we act,we even lost our minds.

 It didn't look like that when I last saw it at Syon House, circa 1984.
Wouldn't you think that a car in the Heritage Collection would have had the correct indicator/marker lens? Those are Minor or MK2 A40 and as such, don't extend far enough beyond the lamp surrounds. More anorakism I know, but it's a pet peeve of mine.

If, however, you were flying the union jack from your boat or the RN's boat it would mean that a person of royalty was on it I :P
