AWESOME weekend. This was the fourth annual Retro-Rides Gathering, and the first to be held at its new home at Prescott Speed Hill Climb near Cheltenham. Almost 400 campers spent Friday/Saturday enjoying a chilled-out social vibe in the camping field opposite the venue, with the BBQ's burning well into the darkness and the alcohol flowing nicely.
Sunday saw the show proper, with something like 500 cars basking in the picturesque Cotswold sunshine....as well as a fair number of show-goers pitting their steeds against the 1128yd ribbon of tarmac winding it's way inexorably upwards.
Here's a taster, with a link to my own Flickr album at the bottom.
What is the gold VW badged car please ? It looks stunning.
Is it a Passat ?
Have you forgotten that once we were brought here we were robbed of our names, robbed of our language,we lost our religion, our culture, our God? And many of us by the way we act,we even lost our minds.
Thought it might be,but the front end looks different ?

Yay. An excuse to put up a picture of a K70:
The wheels on the one in Brian's photo collection, what are those? They have the look of the Cosmics about them but I'm guessing that, being on a tasteful old VW, they won't be that obvious. Especially when they appear to be attached to 5 stud hubs.
J "Home is where you park it", so the saying goes. That may yet come true..
