Wow, super looking bus Stuartieboy! what is it? Nothing like a classic you can live in! Can't wait to see photos of your progress! That will make a great story!!!!
It's a 1979 Peugeot J7 with carrosserie by Theault! (To be honest, I'm unsure if that's a good thing or not)
As for progress, watch this space..........
Trigger, you're kadett is in excellent condition, its like she is just after coming out of the factory. It just reminded me of a green 1972 Kadett B caravan (estate) we used to have back in the (good) old eighties. She had the 1078cc engine. No mod cons, not even a radio. There was a spring under one of the seats I think that used to make such a bloody racket, and if you did not have the breather pipe connected up to the air filter, the cabin would fill with fumes. While the bodywork was fairly solid, there was also a good bit of rust too.The rear light units were rusty too and hard to get at the scrappy because they were in the same condition. No internet then of course. But looking at yours, inside your gear lever is small compared to our one which was longer and went under the dash more.Ours also had more switches on the right hand side which the lights could be knocked off if you went over a bump.Good car though in general and I sometimes drove her learning.Nice easy clutch also.I came across a video of a car chase scene in a film that was done in 1973 which featured a similar car to yours but in a much worse state, that had its door knocked off.Not for the easily offended.Skip to about the 5 min mark.
