mr2 alternator removal

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

If the seller can't deliver to the land of cheese and baguettes I can post it on to you.

Quick suggestion, you drive it back to an English relative, have a quick holiday and sell it over here.

Sounds like a good Youtube fillum in the making! I never tire of looking at the one where people throw spears at a Volvo 144, yours could be even more entertaining. :D

 Just a thought, Rich. The MR2's alternator doesn't by any chance have an external regulator does it?

I suspect it has a fusible link which has blown. I have blown the one in my range once which lead to a replacement alternator and lots of swearing.

Have you checked to see if there is any voltage getting to the exciter? if that is fused, it may have blown.
