I think that possibly the issue with loose electrics is possibly due to prior to me buying the car not long ago It had a new floor pan welded in so as you can imagine a lot of electrics along with other stuff had to be removed. It was upsetting there appeared to no attempt to have a quick look.

I bought a brake cylinder repair seal kit for our 1959 MK2 ford consul, but the seals were all the same diameter where as the seal's on the car have a smaller diameter on the 2 rear cylinders compared to the 4 on the front . any thoghts and what the sizes they should be

the only thing I can add is that I spent a lot of money with garages trying to resolve a missfire problem and as soon as i fitted the red rota arm all issues were sorted

how much of a problem would it be to remove the soft top covering leaving the frame in place or at least remove the header rail cover,

Thanks for the comments, I bought a paper back book (practical classics resoration triumph stag) there is quite a large section on re building the hood frame and then fitting the hood but again very little on the set up, after more investigations it looks as if the driver side front corner is welded ...

Im new to stags so a bit of help reqiured. is there an in depth article on adjusting the stag soft top , the workshop manual is very limited.
