There's not enough room on the internet to list the problems that I had with mine. And that, like your father's, was a 1978 on a T plate.

This looks more like an earlier than T plated Maxi with hydrolastic displacers in the boot and vinyd rather than velour seat finish. ;)

Re: New Fords

Earlpart no longer in business. The stock was brought out by an ADO16 guy, so might try him: thanks.

Re: What would you buy & why

I believe you can fit adaptors to allow you to fit hydrolastic displacers in an hydragas subframe. ;)

Our little Maxi gathering was then joined by the lovely Damask red example.

I think that one was for sale on the Maxi Club website a couple of years ago, but I've not seen it since. :(

Here's my latest find, at a local meet ...

Re: Cleaned up pretty good.

I bought a towbar for my Maxi a few weeks ago and the car the hitch came off had a gaping hole in the roof.

You still got the Maxi?

The towbar I got for Julie doesn't seem as easy to fit as previous ones. Do you know what make yours is/was?

Re: New Fords

what about the hardboard that BL used on the Maxi (and others)? Most of the ones I saw were starting to rot after two or three years.

On that subject I'm missing the os boot trim in my '74. :(

Anyone have one in the back of their garage? ;)
