Re: At last, well more or less.
Ware was a master of publicity. In the context of having a dog and barking yourself, I don't know that Mr Ware could bark himself, via a vis working on cars, so I think he had to depend on those he employed. I don't know what the set up was but since the firm took Ware's name, that suggests he was ...

As I near the completion of my Morris Minor Traveller improvements, I have given thought to what used to be called a car radio. I have at least one spare radio cassette player and some speakers but I also have a Zuma MP3 in another car, which, behind it's retro façade, is very neat. The attached ...

At last, well more or less.
I have finally got the mechanical aspects of the Minor Traveller as I have wanted to get them. Had it not been for sub standard work, done by so called professionals, I could have reached this stage sooner, the main issue being described at https://morrisminorowners.co.uk/workmanship-this-bad ...

Sierra clutch guide
According to a Sierra workshop manual, all these parts have guides for roller type release bearings. The attached was taken from a gearbox fitted to a Morris Minor, that was uisng a standard Minor clutch. It now uses a different clutch and a roller release, with a guide.

Re: What would you buy & why?
There seems to be a fashion for cars to be finished in what looks like grey primer :? . I suppose colour and appearance is a matter of taste; a subjective thing, where nobody is right and nobody is wrong. Alas many people seem to have no knowledge of things, beyond whether they like the look of it ...

Oh I've never been so oh oh oh.....JPB wrote: Mon May 02, 2016 5:40 pm ^^^ I too wondered this. Also, I would sooner admit to being the phantom raspberry blower than admit to having set foot in a building filled with modern Renaults.

Re: Coleford car show
I rather like the Forest of Dean.....the Dean Forest Railway and the Woodman Inn at Parkend. For various reasons, not just pandemic, I've not been since 2019.
A long shot but does anyone know Clarence Harper, who lived in Coleford and who I knew in my hillclimbing days? He'd be a good age by now ...

Re: Post pictures of your pride and joy
Sadly I am now able to add another to my collection, which hasn't changed in nearly 20 years. I say sadly because the red Midget belonged to my father, who died at the beginning of 2021.
He bought the car in 2006, with the intention of just using it but I have finally realised that my father ...
