you might get lucky... but ordinary car prices are eye watering, when i moved over i gave away a very tidy nissan sunny diesel (red & very very sexy, value £300) when wifeys lhd ford escort shed started having problems we looked at several lhd sunnys they had more milage & were all minimum €2000 about £1700..

In order to justify the prices, aren't they all required to have MoT equivalents when sold though? I mean, that Granada is never going to pass a test in that state.

you can still buy cars without the ct (mot) but usually they are sold with a new one.. besides with a bit of a wash that granny should pass

I would have posted one of the listing images as the link like I usually do, but was thinking of your increased risk of having a heart attack if faced with a bright red one like that.

I know, it's perfect as a mini alternative but far too pristine to use, even every other day. Besides, decent, solid ones with good clutches (the reverse clutch is always the first thing to let go in that otherwise remarkably good CVT), an interior that doesn't look like someone broke in & squatted in it for a decade and plenty of life left in them can still be found through the yellow papers and the Gazette classifieds at around £500. The Simpson one would be good for the Concours d'état brigade though.
