We have moved the forum to a new server!

Here's the place to chat about all things classic. Also includes a feedback forum where you can communicate directly with the editorial team - don't hold back, they'd love to know what they're doing right (or wrong of course!)

We have moved the forum to a new server!

#1 Post by TerryG » Wed Sep 12, 2012 9:49 pm

Due to the ever increasing popularity of the PC forum we have grown to a level our current host can no longer sustain us. We have found a new host that is specific to forum hosting rather than generic web services. The admins have all been testing our new site to ensure that we don't lose any posts or attachments during the transfer and that everything works correctly. Unfortunately we have not been able to successfully transfer your avatars so these will need to be re-uploaded.
If anybody does not have a copy of their avatar saved and would like to re-upload on to the new forum if you send me a pm or email I will send you a copy.
We are planning to move the forum on Monday morning, there will be an interruption of 30 minutes while the transfer takes place.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause

Thank you all for making the new PC fan forum the success it has become.

Ah dont mind about the avatars, you can always upload one again or put a new one up there, not a problem for me.The only issue I have and I keep banging on about it from time to time :( . is not getting an email of replys to threads I have subscribed to, thats all

My apologies for the length of time it took to migrate the database. We are now up and running on our new server with more resources available so the board should be nice and sporty with LOADS of room to strech our legs.
Enjoy :)
