There are a few people like that about, they'd rather scrap something than give someone the opportunity to restore it to use.rich. wrote:tried to buy a basket case like that once, it had been abandoned in a farmers yard for several years.. farmer said no & it went for scrap a few weeks later....
I had that issue with a P5B quite literally in a barn (it wasn't lost so I couldn't find it) that I had been offering to buy and take away for 2 years, drove past one day and found the barn had gone and the car had been weighed in.rich. wrote:tried to buy a basket case like that once, it had been abandoned in a farmers yard for several years.. farmer said no & it went for scrap a few weeks later....
Yes we get to drive all our stock, classics we have include Ferrari Boxer, F355 spyder, 2x Mondial cabriolets, TVR Griffith 500, Morgan, Rousch Mustang 5.0, Porsche 911's, Mini Moke, Mk1 Mini Cooper S, Triumph TR6's, Triumph Stag, Mercedes 300 SL's, Jensen Interceptors (one is a cabriolet), 2x Aston Martin V8's, Chalmers, MG's and Austin Healey Sprite. When I get home and my wife says "what have you been driving today" I tell her, and I'm sure she thinks I'm making it up. I really do have my dream job.TerryG wrote:The Aston is looking very specialIt may not be your car but do you get a drive of the finished article?
