V6 into a RHD Chrysler Neon mk1
Re: V6 into a RHD Chrysler Neon mk1
With reference to my previous post about attending the hotrod and
custom car show. It has been raining heavily since before mid-night.
So some of the local roads are currently flooded and I can't get out
even if I wanted too. And to think the show is within a 5mile radius
as the crow files and that bloody close to me too
So sorry guys and girls I'm not going to risk it so no pics.
The old saying "the best laid plans of mice and men" springs to mind!
Oh and I found the rest of the coilover kit yesterday when I was
tidying up, they must have fallen out of the box when I put the box
in the boot of the neon. So that is next week planned I hope.

Re: V6 into a RHD Chrysler Neon mk1
is it running yet?
Re: V6 into a RHD Chrysler Neon mk1
Are you a gambling man, Glenn? I reckon we should have a book opened to take bets on the date that Mister Mitsuru gets it through its MOT and back on the road.
Mitsuru, you could run the book as it's your car the rest of the forum would be betting on. Waddya reckon? It would be a bit of fun, bets in small change only, winnings to be paid over at the car show of your choice.

No Betting Allowed on my threads
Shortly after posting about the flooded roads on here I had a fall in the
kitchen. the wet tiles off the dogs paws and after had just popped outside
to sign for a parcel (with the dogs inside as not to jump the postie!)
My walking stick went one way and I went the other as I lay on the
floor the dogs came to comfort me and made matters worse by sitting on
me!!
And if you lot care to remember what the weather was like last year, delays
can be caused by it and parent's getting in the way(they are both off for a
week+)
Please note that due to weather conditions my internet connection has
been hit or miss for the past few days.

Re: V6 into a RHD Chrysler Neon mk1
are you ok?
Re: V6 into a RHD Chrysler Neon mk1
Hope you're OK Mitsu.
Off at a tangent it reminded me of one night close to Christmas three years ago, we'd popped next door and as you do the bottle had to come out. A couple of hours later we staggered away in temps of -16 ( it was a long protracted harsh winter that one) warmed with large quantities of the water of life.
The man next door was found by his son some hours later on the back grass, where having been out to the dog he fell over and for some strange reason couldn't find his feet again
I reckon if it wasn't for his furry golden retriever lying on top of him he would not have seen christmas.
Handy thing dogs, I reckon your ones deserve an extra bone for looking after you

Okay while the parent's ae doing some sorting out and using the drive as a sorting
area I had time to read some of the threads I am watching on different forums.
If you have been following my engine swap from the start you will remember that
a fellow neon enthusiast Jimbo who has completed his v6 swap but using a manual
gearbox and megasquirt for engine management.
Well here is his latest post and a link at the bottom to his build thread which is now
going a few steps further!!!!!!

I am not going to going as far as this guy.jimbo in MI wrote:Metal termites?
Trying to see if this will work. I wanted aluminum, but the same size chunk of aluminum was over $75 and I needed two chunks. Wood is just so throttles sit even while I am doing some measurements. I am going to begin building the second (upper) plate to hold the throttles tomorrow. What I really need is a Bridgeport, but that is out of the question for many reasons.
Black = existing intake
Turquoise = throttle bodies
Green = air filter

Light and med purple = adapter plates
