Re: What would you buy & why?
Last week's medical check happened on a good day, so I'm allowed to drive on a year by year basis 'til I hit 70, then either a year or three years at a time, so all I have to do is live to 71 or above. With that in mind, I found a nicely preserved 300TDI automatic and bought it last Monday. The car ...

Re: FORD CAPRI 3.0S RESTORATION
Orange is, in my humble opinion, the best ever colour for a car. It also seems to suit the Capri's shape brilliantly. Good choice!

I've seen it in the "motoring" category on Discovery+, will give that a wee look between new episodes of Wheeler dealers with new chap Marc "Elvis" Priestley doing the work while Mike buys the cars then sells them back to the people who sold them to him in the first place (not in every episode to be...

Re: breakdown truck
Lovely thing, but way too big for a van without a shower. Bound to attract buyers though, I'm thinking young ones with long, dense beards. ;) A forward control Toyota Hiace like the one I owned makes for a far better solution to the non-existent problem of how to get up an icy mountain and make your...

:?: That's the same link that brought up the rather lovely, 2 door American Volvo 242 in the earlier post. Maybe "someone" :P hadn't saved any links since posting the ad for the Volvo, so ended up pasting that link twice? Maybe. Is the car in question a recently imported S1 Discovery 300tdi au...

New series soon , they are selling cars on eBay if you're interested chaps.. Already available on the Blaze channel or My5, which shows Blaze content as well as other C5 products. I'm liking the cars so far in the new (17th) series of WD. Especially the Bedford CA campervan with the Pinto engine. S...

That exhaust manifold looks pretty straightforward... for someone who's used to swapping them on Triumph Dolomites, where they're not only the work of a Krypton Factor winner to reach with any implement known to humankind, but are also - almost always - prone to leaking after they've been on & off t...

Re: I'm back! Ford Anglia 106e (Estate)
Good luck with the V5c. I've only just yesterday received a V5c that was sent in for a keeper name change during May and even then, the document has come back with the wrong VED class on it, which was one of the changes the DVLA had been meant to apply. Apparently, [DVLA] has been a bit busier than ...

Nah, you're alright Rich, I'll pass on that thanks. :) I'm probably going to get rid of both of my currently usable cars, I've had enough of owning vehicles and am just as happy to enjoy the exploits of youtubers such as Ian "Hubnut" Seabrook and Steph "I drive a classic" Holloway as worry about my ...
