Sitting on the train today going from East Croydon to London Bridge. Just before we went through Forest Hill station I noticed a gold coloured Sunbeam Rapier fastback - not seen one for ages.

I had to get a VIN tag made up for a re-shell - brand new, unregistered shell, no ID - got a blank tag from ebay and got it engraved at Timpsons with the chassis number allocated to me by those nice people at the DVLA.

Saw a nice looking Mk3 Ford Granada Scorpio saloon finished in silver near Shepperton this morning.
Private plate so not sure of year.
Not many of those around now.

Tamiya do a switch lubricant meant for speed controllers on R/C models to stop arcing - there are some quite high currents involved.
Most model shops should have something like it.
Maybe worth trying ?

lol, it's a Renault gold ( closest I could get plus looks tad fresher than the rootes version) Have you still got your Alpine? Lookin' good !

Is that paint colour 'Golden Glory' ?

My Alpine fastback was that colour till I had it painted in 'Wardance Red'....sorry, young 'uns like red cars.
